Onsite X-Ray – Know Now if it’s Broken

Posted

South Strand Internists & Urgent Care and Strand Urgent Care offer onsite digital X-Ray services for adults and children.

Because you’re busy or maybe have an unpredictable work schedule, South Strand Internists & Urgent Care  and Strand Urgent Care are your fast and convenient source for digital X-Rays, with convenient hours.

You may need an X-Ray if you:

  • have had an injury and suspect a broken bone
  • are having some difficulty breathing or a cough that won’t go away
  • persistent nausea or abdominal pain
  • have a chronic condition and we are your Family Doctor
  • are required by an employer to provide X-Rays as proof of good health

Broken Bones – Emergency
Whether you or your child has been injured in a sporting event, auto accident, in the workplace or in your own backyard, when you suspect a broken bone you need answers right away.  Visit one of our South Strand Internists & Urgent Care office in Surfside or our Strand Urgent Care office in Carolina Forest to know if it’s broken now!  We can diagnose and treat most typical sprains and breaks.  If we can’t treat your injury on site, our medical staff will recommend the best course of action and quickly send your digital X-Rays on.

Chest and Abdominal X-Rays
If you’re breathing is irregular, or you have a cough that won’t go away, or if you’re having unusual chest pains, a chest X-Ray will help our medical staff determine if you have lung or respiratory issues including pneumonia. If you have persistent nausea or abdominal pain an abdominal X-ray may be in order to determine an intestinal blockage, kidney stones and even some types of gallstones.

Chronic Medical Conditions
If one of our physicians or nurse practitioners also serves as your Primary Care Provider, it’s great to know that you can get X-Rays on the spot, right when you need them for chronic conditions like COPD and bone pain.   Your provider will have your medical file with notes and previous X-Rays on hand to make comparisons.

Outside Requests for X-Rays
Some doctors offices do not have X-Ray facilities of their own and refer you elsewhere to return with the results. Some employers require X-Rays as proof of good health for employment or insurance purposes.  If you are scheduled for surgery you may require a chest X-Ray.  South Strand Internists is the perfect place to come for any of these situations.  You can drop by any time for your X-Ray or make an appointment if it’s more convenient for you.
